BOAT BUILDING TOOLS
Papier Maché work tools made using copies of an old handwritten order book containing lists of boats made & repaired at Cardiff Boat Building Company from 2019 - 1983. The paper copies were moulded around the tools one half at a time in order to closely capture their shape and form. Once dry the two halves were joined together to complete the shape. Screw heads & rivets made from card and painted to give a distressed metal appearance were then applied to add authentic detail to the final forms.
